Collage Quilts
I make different kinds of collage quilts. In the past, I worked from photos to create a certain object or scenery, but these days, most quilts are improvisational and abstract. Sometimes I have a certain idea and/or design in mind when I start and I use the colors to express that idea. Other times, I let the colors of the fabric guide me in the story telling. When this is the case, I call my technique "freestyle or organic color collage" and this is also what my book is about.
I make these quilts for my enjoyment, but some are available for purchase or can be given away to charity. Please contact me to discuss. I also make organic color collage as a commission. You can contact me to discuss an organic color collage commission in the colors of your choice.
